Five 90-minute workshops looking at some critical aspects of sports performance. Workshops open to all players, athletes and coaches.

Mon.8th Feb: Performance Profiling and Individual Goal Setting: Baselining the skills and aspects of performance necessary for improvement and setting SMARTER goals.
Mon 15th Feb: Using Visualisation and Imaginal Skills: featuring “What You See is What You Get!” Who uses visualisation?; How to do it; in practise, performance and all round
Mon. 22nd Feb: The Mind-Body connection: Managing levels of activation; relaxation and psyching-up; dealing with stress and performance-related anxiety; “getting the butterflies into formation!”
Mon. 1st March: Building self-confidence and using your head: Positive self-talk; cognitive strategies aimed at increasing self-belief all-round and mental toughness
Mon. 8th March: Staying in Focus and Game Planning: Finding and maintaining an appropriate focus, dealing with distractions; refocusing; Game Planning and Review.

Workshop leaders: Carole Seheult and Adam Dehaty.

(Co-presenter, Adam Dehaty, is a former Falcons player and still plays semi-professionally for Blaydon. He is currently registered with the British Psychological Society as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist in Training and Carole is acting as his Field Supervisor).
