The Chief Marshal for this year's City of Durham Duathlon at Meadowfield has issued a Call to Arms

 

We are looking for marshals for the City of Durham Duathlon on 18h April at Meadowfield. Marshalling gives an excellent opportunity to find out how an Event "works" and it's a great chance to see transition and cycling techniques close up. We are aiming to attract a bigger field of entrants this year, but we need your help and support to make this an event to remember.

I need to compile a list of marshals and in order to make this a success I need to know those names now. If you have a first aid qualification please let me know. We are looking for volunteers to cover the run and bike course, the transition area and registration. Marshals - over 18 - can be competing club members, or ardent supporters.  You will need to be there at 08.00hrs and stay until midday.

All marshals will be given written instructions on their role as well as a briefing on the day. So come and mingle with like-minded people whilst giving your support the club's flagship event.

Marshals are the backbone of the sport, these events just cannot happen without them - and we need your help now.
