The club GP Series of races was very well supported by members throughout the season. The 6 races gave everybody a chance to participate in a 'local' event at their chosen distance, and over 40 members raced in at least one event. The GP points score allocated for any particular event is actually the athlete's time expressed as a percentage of the overall winner's time [male or female, as appropriate] in that event. Prizes are awarded to the first three in each age/gender category - providing at least 3 events have been completed, with an athlete's individual total being the sum of their best 3 percentages over the series.
After the last of the races, the Newbiggin Sprint on Sunday, Allan got busy with the numbers, which you can see in the spreadsheet... Athletes who have at least 3 counting events are highlighted in bold text.
Well done to the winners, and a special well done to those athletes in their first season of triathlon.
