And the scores after Darlington are....
Recently the committee revived the old Club Grand Prix, listing a group of six nearby races from which a member's best 3 results would count. Darlington Triathlon on May 8 was the first of these so the GP Table is taking shape! Next up is the Cleveland Steelman event on July 2 when a big group of DurhamTri members will be in action and translating their results into GP scores. Your score in a race is simply the ratio: 100 X (WINNER'S TIME divided by YOUR TIME). That's the ratio of your speed to the winner's speed, expressed as a percentage. This is based on the regional grand prix scoring system. Your overall Grand Prix score will be the total of your three best scores. Whether you're a pool-based swimmer or an Open Water person, you should be able to find some events in the list to get your name into the mix!

August 21 in Stockton is also the Club Awayday - a chance for a large group of club members to compete on the same day, and to socialise. With 3 separate events at various distances there's something to suit most of us. And if you're still a triathlon virgin, the Mini could be a great opportunity to dip your toe in the water - the bike circuit also features totally closed roads. So mark it up in your diary!
